Let’s talk about protein shakes. I get bored quickly when it comes to drinking my protein, so I have to get creative. I tend to overthink everything, including what I want or feel is best for me at any given time. So frequently, I like to experiment with flavors.
The other day I decided to break out my Ninja Foodi Power Blender and give a few flavors a try. If you’re anything like me and crave something cold and filling after a challenging workout, I have a suggestion; the Very Berry Protein Smoothie. My Very Berry Protein Smoothie is fresh and satisfying, and it’s packed with vitamins and nutrients that your body needs to fuel up and get going.
You can use any vanilla protein that you like, but my go-to is Orgain Organic Plant Based Vanilla Protein Powder which contains 21g of plant protein per serving and 0g of sugar. I have tried several different protein powders; however, this one is light, refreshing, and has no aftertaste. It’s versatile and can be used as a base for just about any smoothie.
I also add Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides for joint support and healthy skin, hair, and nails. This stuff is unflavored and is packed with 20g of collagen per serving.
For this recipe, you will need the following:
Add all ingredients into your blender and blend until smooth or desired consistency. If you like it a little sweeter, feel free to add a little honey or monk fruit ( I prefer Lakanto Monkfruit Sweetener for the flavor and consistency ) to reach the desired level of sweetness.
